Stage 2 of the Barton Highway Upgrade will extend highway duplication from Kaveneys Road towards Murrumbateman/Capricorn Place, continuing the corridor improvements delivered under Stage 1. The project aims to improve road safety, freight efficiency, journey reliability and regional connectivity between Yass, the ACT and southern NSW. The upgrade includes additional duplication works and intersection improvements, including the Kaveneys Road intersection upgrade, while supporting future traffic growth and economic development along this important regional corridor.
