The Bellambi Heights Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) is a proposed large-scale energy storage project being developed by Vena Energy near Beryl, New South Wales, approximately 85 kilometres east of Dubbo.
Located within the Central-West Orana Renewable Energy Zone (REZ), the project will have a total capacity of 408 MW / 816 MWh, providing significant energy storage to support the integration of renewable energy into the electricity grid.
The project will be delivered in two stages, with each stage providing 204 MW of power capacity and 408 MWh of energy storage.
