EDF Renewables is proposing the Edderton Solar Farm, a large-scale renewable energy project comprising a solar photovoltaic (PV) generation facility with an estimated capacity of 350 megawatts (MW) and an associated Battery Energy Storage System (BESS). The proponent has not yet specified the indicative size or storage capacity of the proposed battery system.
The project is located within the Hunter–Central Coast Renewable Energy Zone (REZ) and benefits from its proximity to existing regional transmission infrastructure, enabling efficient connection to the electricity network.
