The new Eurobodalla Regional Hospital will be constructed in south-east Moruya on the Far South Coast of New South Wales and will deliver a modern, purpose-built healthcare facility to meet the growing needs of the region.

Key components of the project include:

  • A new Emergency Department with greater capacity than the combined emergency services currently provided by Moruya and Batemans Bay Hospitals.
  • An eight-bed Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and Close Observation Unit (COU).
  • Expanded capacity for chemotherapy services and improved access to renal dialysis treatment.
  • Modern operating theatres, surgical facilities, and a day-stay surgical unit.
  • Enhanced medical imaging services, including the introduction of a new Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) service.
  • Ambulatory care facilities to support a broad range of community outpatient services.
  • Dedicated paediatric and maternity services, including a special care nursery.
  • Mental health facilities with short-stay inpatient beds for acute care and assessment.
  • Improved education and training facilities, including a state-of-the-art clinical simulation laboratory.

The new hospital will significantly enhance healthcare capacity and services across the Eurobodalla region, providing residents with access to a broader range of contemporary medical, surgical, and specialist care closer to home.
