DP Energy Australia has proposed the Euston Wind Farm, a 700-megawatt (MW) renewable energy project located approximately 7.6 kilometres north of Euston, New South Wales, within the South West Renewable Energy Zone (REZ).

The project scope includes:

  • A 700-MW wind farm comprising up to 96 wind turbines, each with a nominal generating capacity of 7.2 MW and a maximum tip height of 275 metres.
  • A 500-MW / 2,000-MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) to support energy storage and grid reliability.
  • An onsite 33/220-kilovolt (kV) or 33/330-kV electrical substation for voltage transformation and grid connection.
An approximately 18-kilometre 220-kV overhead or underground transmission line extending south from the site to the grid connection point.
  • A switching station and grid connection infrastructure to connect the project to either TransGrid’s existing 220-kV transmission network or a proposed new 330-kV transmission line.
