The Garoo Solar Farm and BESS is a utility-scale renewable energy development proposed in the Tamworth region of New South Wales. The project combines a large solar photovoltaic facility with a 360 MW battery energy storage system to deliver clean electricity and flexible energy storage to the National Electricity Market. The development includes solar arrays, battery storage infrastructure, substations, switching facilities, grid connection assets and associated support infrastructure, enabling renewable energy generated on-site to be stored and dispatched when required.
