Jeremiah Wind Farm is a proposed 400 MW wind energy project in the NSW New England Renewable Energy Zone, led by Squadron Energy. The development includes up to 65 turbines and a 150 MW / 4‑hour battery energy storage system, designed to supply renewable electricity into the National Electricity Market. The project is currently progressing through the NSW planning pathway, with the Secretary’s Environmental Assessment Requirements (SEARs) extended in June 2024, allowing updated environmental studies to be completed.
The project remains active but not yet approved, with the proponent preparing its Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) and continuing community consultation. No construction activity has commenced. Jeremiah Wind Farm is intended to support NSW’s renewable energy targets by adding large‑scale generation capacity within a designated REZ, but its timeline will depend on planning approval, grid connection studies, and final investment decision.
