Lockheed Martin has been chosen as a Strategic Industry Partner for Australia’s Guided Weapons and Explosive Ordnance Enterprise, supporting the country’s goal of greater sovereign defence capability. The role will boost advanced manufacturing, engineering and technology jobs, and enable future upgrades in areas such as sensors, warheads and missile range.
Its Missiles and Fire Control division in Texas will work with Lockheed Martin Australia to deliver long‑term capability; the division is a recognised designer and manufacturer of precision engagement systems for the U.S. and allied militaries. Lockheed Martin is currently assessing Australian industry to identify local capability that can support this work.
