Macksville Battery Energy Storage System (BESS)

Macksville Battery Energy Storage System is a proposed 100 MW / 400 MWh battery storage project located in the Nambucca Shire of New South Wales. The project comprises the construction, operation and eventual decommissioning of a standalone battery energy storage system together with ancillary infrastructure. The project has been lodged as a State Significant Development application under the NSW planning framework. The battery is designed to provide four hours of energy storage capacity at full output and would have a total storage capacity of 400 MWh.
