Mamre Road Upgrade – Stage 2 comprises the upgrade of Mamre Road between Erskine Park Road, Erskine Park, and Kerrs Road, Kemps Creek, within the Penrith Local Government Area of Sydney. The project will deliver a six-lane divided carriageway to improve traffic capacity, support future growth associated with the Western Sydney Aerotropolis, and enhance connectivity across the region.

Key components of the Stage 2 works include:

  • Upgrades to two existing intersections at James Erskine Drive and Bakers Lane.
  • Construction of two future-ready intersections at Abbotts Road and the Aspect Industrial Estate.
  • Widening of Mamre Road to six lanes, comprising three lanes in each direction.
  • Delivery of a shared pedestrian and cyclist pathway along the eastern side of the corridor.
  • Construction of a dedicated footpath along the western side of the road.

Transport for NSW has announced that Mamre Road Stage 2 and the Elizabeth Drive Upgrade between Badgerys Creek Road and Devonshire Road will be delivered as a combined infrastructure package known as the EDU/MRS2 project. Details for the remaining section of the Elizabeth Drive Upgrade east of Devonshire Road are yet to be confirmed.

The Elizabeth Drive Upgrade component includes:

  • Widening Elizabeth Drive from two lanes to four lanes.
  • Installation of new stormwater drainage infrastructure.
  • Construction of two twin bridges to improve network capacity and resilience.
  • Provision of enhanced active transport infrastructure, including facilities for pedestrians and cyclists.
