EnergyCo is responsible for delivering NSW’s renewable energy zones (REZs) to secure long‑term energy supply. These zones will use the state’s strong wind and solar resources to provide clean, reliable and affordable electricity, supported by major grid upgrades under the NSW Electricity Infrastructure Roadmap.
EnergyCo acts as the infrastructure planner for five REZs — Central‑West Orana, New England, South‑West, Hunter‑Central Coast and Illawarra — along with two priority transmission projects: the Hunter Transmission Project and the Waratah Super Battery.
