Oxley Solar Farm

Oxley Solar Farm is a renewable energy project being developed by Oxley Solar Development Pty Ltd approximately 14 km south-east of Armidale in the New England Renewable Energy Zone. The project was approved by the NSW Government in December 2023 and comprises a 215 MW solar farm and a 50 MW battery energy storage system. The project is located on approximately 1,048 hectares of land with a development footprint of around 267 hectares and includes approximately 385,280 solar panels mounted on fixed-tilt or single-axis tracking systems. The proponent has subsequently lodged a modification application that would increase the battery capacity from 50 MW to 215 MW while retaining the approved solar generation capacity and development footprint.
