The Moruya Bypass is a proposed Princes Highway improvement designed to improve traffic efficiency, safety and network resilience by diverting through-traffic away from Moruya’s town centre. Key factors include a preferred corridor approximately nine kilometres in length, improved freight and regional connectivity, reduced congestion through the Moruya CBD, and enhanced access reliability for the broader Eurobodalla region. During corridor selection, Transport for NSW considered impacts on coastal wetlands, community facilities, local amenity and property, with the preferred alignment selected after extensive technical investigations and community consultation. The project forms part of the broader Princes Highway upgrade program aimed at improving transport outcomes along the NSW South Coast.
