Richmond Valley Solar Farm

Richmond Valley Solar Farm is a 200 MWac solar farm paired with a 275 MW / 2,200 MWh LFP battery, developed by Ark Energy in the Northern Rivers region of NSW. The project is designed to deliver large‑scale renewable generation and long‑duration storage, supporting grid reliability and decarbonisation across northern NSW. Its approved envelope allows future expansion up to 435 MW solar and 475 MW / 3,148 MWh BESS, with infrastructure including single‑axis tracking arrays, a high‑capacity battery facility, onsite substation, and new transmission connection works.
