Strontian Solar Farm & BESS is a 370 MWdc solar farm paired with a 335 MW / 670 MWh battery, proposed near Sandigo in the Narrandera LGA, within the Murray–Riverina region of NSW. The project is progressing through the environmental assessment stage, with NSW SEARs issued and the EIS under preparation, alongside an EPBC outcome of Not a Controlled Action. Designed to deliver large‑scale renewable generation and firming capacity into the Riverina transmission corridor, Strontian aims to support regional grid stability and decarbonisation, with construction planned to begin in 2027 once approvals and grid‑connection agreements are finalised.
