The Metro Trains West Consortium,a joint venture led by MTR Corporation with CRRC Corporation Limited, was awarded the Train, Systems, maintenance and Operations contract for the Sydney Metro West project.
The contract will deliver 16 driverless metro trains and tunnel fit out as well as provision of operations and maintenance services for a 15-year period upon the opening of the line.
The TSMO Package includes the following scope:
Design, supply, integrate, test and commission the rolling stock, signalling, communications and control systems and platform screen doors, to deliver driverless, automated train operations, as well as equipment works at specified facilities, including the operations control centre;
Provision of operational input and services during the delivery phase including in relation to design review activities, rail accreditation, the distribution network service provider role, testing and commissioning, operational readiness and trial operations; and
Provision of customer and operational services and the maintenance of all infrastructure delivered for the project for the duration of the operations phase.
