Snowy 2.0 is a pumped‑hydro expansion of the Snowy Scheme that will link Tantangara and Talbingo dams through long underground tunnels and a major underground power station. The station will use six reversible Francis‑type pump turbines, delivering 2,000 MW of capacity and 175 hours of storage to support grid stability and renewable integration. Voith is supplying the six 333 MW pump‑turbines, motor‑generators, auxiliary systems and full plant automation.
