The High Speed Rail Authority is hosting an industry briefing on the proposed Advanced Manufacturing Facility (AMF) for the Newcastle to Sydney High Speed Rail project. The AMF contractor will be responsible for designing, building and operating a facility that will use advanced manufacturing, technology and precision engineering to produce major rail components, including precast concrete elements and modular assemblies, which will be manufactured, assembled, tested, stored and supplied to other project delivery packages. The Authority is also conducting an Expression of Interest process to identify suitable land for the facility. The briefing will provide industry with information about the AMF opportunity and its role in supporting advanced manufacturing capability, skills and supply chains in Australia.
