The NSW Government has appointed Gamuda to deliver the Sydney Metro Station Package West, a critical component of Sydney Metro. The milestone marks Gamuda's second major Sydney Metro contract, following the 2022 award of the Western Tunnelling Package, further cementing its role in shaping the city's next-generation transport network.
The Sydney Metro Stations Package West includes the design and construction of five new underground metro stations along the Sydney Metro West alignment: Westmead, North Strathfield, Burwood North, Five Dock, and The Bays. Delivered as part of the 24km Sydney Metro West line connecting Greater Parramatta to Sydney's CBD, the package scope will include the construction of station boxes, entrances and access points, station fit out works and integration with surrounding precincts.
Construction is expected to commence in Q3 2026, with completion targeted for Q1 2030.
The Stations Package West is critical for connecting western Sydney to the CBD, with the full metro line expected to be operational by 2032.
